MyEngine 1.11

Overview

The MyEngine application developed by Williams International streamlines the process of transferring Engine Information (e-info) files from an aircraft to the company. It operates in two distinct connection modes: Aircraft and WI.

In Aircraft Connection Mode, flight files stored on the aircraft are captured using an iPad. In contrast, the WI Connection Mode allows for the uploading of e-info files directly to Williams International.

Acquiring Aircraft Files

To initiate the acquisition of aircraft flight files, users must switch to Aircraft Connection Mode. This can be accomplished by selecting either the [Make a Connection], [Connect to Aircraft], or [Connect to Internet] button on the home page, which will direct users to the iPad Settings (Wi-Fi) for selection of the appropriate aircraft network.

Upon selection of the aircraft Wi-Fi network, users should return to the MyEngine home page to confirm aircraft availability through the [Wi-Fi] display. The acquisition of aircraft files will commence automatically.

Users have the option to re-acquire previously acquired files, or to resume a cancelled acquisition, by utilizing the [Retry Transfer] button. Progress and error notifications will keep users informed throughout the file acquisition process.

Transferring Files to Williams International

Once aircraft flight files have been successfully acquired, users can proceed to transfer these files to Williams International. To do so, it is necessary to switch to WI Connection Mode (via Internet). This can be achieved by using either the [Connect to Internet] or [Make a Connection] button on the home page, subsequently directing users to select the relevant Internet network in iPad Settings (Wi-Fi).

After selecting the Williams Connect (Internet) Wi-Fi setting, users should return to the MyEngine home page and verify connectivity through the [Wi-Fi] display. The transfer of files to Williams International will then begin automatically.

Similar to file acquisition, users can resubmit transferred files or restart a cancelled transfer using the [Retry Transfer] button. Progress notifications and error messages will provide essential updates during this phase as well.
